I just bought a pair of Apple headphones maybe 2 weeks ago and one side of them is already broken. This is ridiculous, and the third or fourth pair this has happened to within a month.

I listen with the volume at 90-95%, so is this the underlying issue; or what could it possibly be? Are there relatively cheap headphones out there that can last more than 3 months without one side not working?

And sometimes i have to position it kinda upwards to get full volume. its weird

I go for really cheap headphones as I don't invest in expensive ones. Either way, they die after a month of overusing them

I'm not sure how you manage to listen to them at 95% max volume, but that's probably the issue. I've never had a pair of Apple headphones break on me, even after washing them. You'd probably notice that something sounded "off" before one of the buds completely stopped working though.

Thank god, I think I was able to fix the issue this time.

My biggest head phone issue is that the vertical piece always get in the way

What volume do most people listen at? It sounds so quiet at any volume lower.

I swear the right earbud doesn't work as well as the left one. It's happened to me with, like, 3 pairs of Apple headphones. Idk if it's an issue with their product, or if there's something wrong with my ear.

Do you have the earpods or the basic first ones? Cuz 50% volume can be enough at times for me with my earpods. If you have volume control on I'd understand it though but I assume you don't

I don't. IDK, I've always listened super loud. I know that's probably not advisable, but is that really all it takes to break a pair of headphones that easily?

Forget the earphones.. Your ears!

Listening to them that high could be blowing out the speakers. I would buy a higher quality pair of earphones if you want to listen at those volumes.

Usually 20-40% when in a room, 50-70% max in a car. Anything over that is just painful for me.

I've just stopped buying them from Apple and got those headphones that you have to push in your ear. Those are better if you blast your music

You're probably blowing the speakers out. Try going in at a lower volume, or buy some higher quality headphones
