Creativity isn't just about vomiting out all the things going on in your head, it's about having purpose, some higher truth, and then executing it well. That's what informed my choice.

The most "creative" thing Beyonce's ever given is some of the visuals on BEYONCE, and those probably weren't even her ideas, nor are they anything special, the GUY video alone is more creative and and interesting than anything on The Visual Album. Just because it was more successful doesn't mean those ideas were better, or executed better.
