do it like the cute girls do instead, quote it and then do something like "dashkaslh " or "". that could easily mean you agree but they can't warn you for it.

See this is what I mean. Like why do people get warning points simply for laughing at someone else's messy post, yet genuine flame-bait often manages to go completely unwarned if no one reports it? I would report it, but after a month of being banned, I don't see the point. Even if I don't like someone, I'm not going to go out of my way to exile or banish them from an online community they might really enjoy, simply because their post is more deserving of a warning point than someone who simply laughed at a piece of flame bait. Especially if their post genuinely didn't even offend me.

And therein lies half the problem. People aren't genuinely getting offended when they report someone else's posts. This is what I meant when I said there's so much "power and politicking" going on here. People only report posts of members they don't like, or members they've got into an argument with, or members who belong to a rival stan-base. That's why we have all these 'alliances' popping up. They're basically just people saying "hey can we not report each other? I don't like being banned/having members in my fan base being gone from discussions for a month." I mean, you can literally say ANYTHING you want inside your own fan base and no one will report you. But as soon as you're in another thread, anyone who doesn't like you or is holding a grudge from a previous discussion will nitpick for any little thing they might be able to give you a warning point for.

yeah, because a mod can't tell whether you agree with the post (i think most people agree with the post tbh but they can't know that) or whether you're just like " damn that's so messy and you're wrong!!1!"

And ANOTHER thing, why is it that people can quote flamebait in their signature, and nothing happens? It doesn't have to be theirs. It often isn't. Often they're quoting an epic/messy piece of flamebait that someone else got a warning point for.

But it's not like a signature is a one-off post. A signature is underneath EVERY single post that person makes. So someone can laugh at someone else's joke, and get a warning point for it. But someone else can have a piece of flamebait on every single post they make on this website, and because it's 1-inch below their actual post, and is under a 1.5 inch thin grey line, that suddenly excuses it? Some people post like 100 times a day. That's like 100 warning points a day right there, for something way worse than laughing at someone's joke as a one off. Not to mention it too breaks the rule of "quoting/cosigning flamebait" as well.

But even if I could report these people for having flamebait in their signatures, under every single post they make, I wouldn't. Because who cares? Seriously who cares? Normally I just laugh at the messy quote in the signature and think "I wonder what thread that was said in." I might even try looking it up to see if it was a funny/messy/enjoyable thread that got shut down.

It's just sad. The warning point feature seems to be being used to kick people you've disagreed with/don't like/aren't in your stan base out, and not because people are honestly behaving badly online.

You could report it but they won't get warned anyway. Flamebait is allowed in avatars and signatures.

So let me get this straight, you're allowed to have flamebait in EVERY single post you make on this website, so long as it's on the left of your post (your avatar) or under your post (your signature) but you're not allowed to have it on 1 single, individual post if it's in the main box?
