It sounds FRESH and I still can't believe Dr. Luke played a part in it.
And we all know radio/the GP aren't checking for super lyrical songs. Just look at all the songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100 right now.
And I'm not trying to say that is what our generation has come to, but instead that it has always been like that. People don't want to listen to super lyrical **** all the time. Nicki has a beautiful message in the song and beautiful messages are what they eat up.
It's the drums, they are remotely similar in production.
Okay, but who is to say that the GP isn't ready to wholly support this single's particular direction?
I'm just waiting to see the outcome & doing my part.
At this point, I could care less about Soundcloud. I'm mad they re-uploaded it, but at this point... Most listeners will just stream via Youtube and, if they don't, it is whatever.
You're right but it's streams are gaining a lot faster than I thought they would be right now
Oh well, what's done is done. We should just stop worrying and just sit and enjoy the ride.
Let me play Into this for a second, yes chart wise. But can we not get overly gassed w/ Iggy's rise on Itunes. Congrats to the girl but to say Nicki should wait until NEXT year before releasing is a pathetic argument.
She shouldn't put her release on hold for the sake of success, absolutely not. But is the argument of Iggy potentially being a competitor to Nicki valid? Yes, it's plausible.

Give it a couple weeks and everyone can talk.
It is just so silly right now for people having meltdowns over it "flopping" when first week sales are generally just driven by stans and fans + iTunes is glitching.

Yes, Iggy is competition just like every artist who has something charting on the Billboard Hot 100 is.

Mm. As SneakerNerd has put it, it's become a thing about numbers and sales. Music isn't just music any more. I'm positive she just wants people to enjoy this one. Success is a bonus. People don't want their favourite associated w/ the label of "flop".

It isn't an argument at all because it's a fact. Iggy is Nicki's biggest competition now, and that's not to discredit girls like Angel Haze.
My issue was w/ someone having the nerve to say Nicki should hault an era so that the Iggy storm can pass.
Im at the point where i really dont care about chart positions and sales anymore with my fave. Its sad to see all my fellow stans care so much and it lets them not enjoy the music. sad sad sad.

i hope Nicki doesn't think she has to make more pop music now to try and beat Iggys BBHOT100 title... she doesn't even need to make the top 5, as long as she makes the top 10 with great rap/hip-hop music shes GOOD.
Yes, Iggy is competition just like every artist who has something charting on the Billboard Hot 100 is.
Absolutely, but when you're discussing a competitor that is FEMALE and a rapper, people are going to inevitably and forcefully compare the two. Both winners.
Pills N Potions we're overdosing, I'm angry but I still love you
Pill N Potions we're overdosing, can't stand it but I still love you
I still love, I still love, I still love, I still love, I still lo-uh-ve
Now wait a damn minute... Isn't this her official Soundcloud? Some random Soundcloud named "nickiofficial" has deceived y'all into thinking she has uploaded it again. Or?
