I can debunk that. Unless it's just my phone, but I have no battery issues after 2 years. Although previously owned, my phone would go from 100% to like 40% within a few hours and I WASN'T EVEN ON IT! It was just on, but in "standby" mode.
Surprisingly though my S3 has a long life and maybe it's because I always have it plugged in???
Are iPhone's really that different that they get damaged when plugged in AFTER it gets to 100% o.O My phone says "Please disconnect phone" but I ignore it and leave it plugged in for the rest of the day.

I don't want to be a post ***** and do a third post, but you are supposed to let your phone drain all the way out and then charge it? Or is this only for iPhones? I've NEVER let my phone go under 20%. I freak out when it gets to 50%

and have to rush to the charger. I really have no problems with my phone using my techniques I described so this doesn't really affect me. I'll keep doing what I'm doing. Maybe my battery just got lucky.
My previous phone though, ugh. The battery wasn't even being used and it drained just like that. I eventually got into the habit of just turning my phone off when I'm going to work or just not using it/checking it. Now it's ok
