So I was replaying Final Fantasy XIII and I've realized that it's just okay. A solid game but it has a couple of mediocre elements for sure Overall, what do you think of the Lightning saga and what is your favorite game in the trilogy? Is the saga tragic, or did you love every bit of it?

My favorite was XIII-2. Loved Noel and Serah and their optional outfits

I don't know why people hate it so much. It was different and I enjoyed it.
My favorite is XIII-2 because you can have Nabaat on your team

They all have flaws, but I liked the gameplay in all of them and that's what counts most.

I liked the trilogy enough that i platinumed the first two and will probably get around to the third

Not tragic, just flawed from the start. XIII was too linear, XIII-2 was too easy, and Lightning Returns has a serious difficulty spike problem! All-in-all, though, they're all really fun games; they're just not up to Final Fantasy standards…

I never even finished 'Lightning Returns' - albeit getting really close - because of the timing component. I just think the Lightning saga is overdone.

first one was the best. Though I loved all of the storylines. That was the main appeal for me

XIII and XIII-2 were great. Lightning Returns was good, it just had components I didn't care for.

Personally I loved the trilogy. The graphics were just amazing FFXIII was my least favorite of the trilogy but it introduced us to the group so it holds the most nostalgia to me.

My favorite was FF XIII-2. Serah was just so emotional and I really grew to like her. noel was a really good counterpart to serah, he wasn't overly macho but was strong enough to carry the story as the main male hero.

I really liked FF XIII: Lightning Returns too. I put most of my time into that game and even replayed it twice. The customization of weapons and outfits was great and I loved exploring all the different lands.

overall I thought it was a really enjoyable saga of the FF franchise.

I played XIII and I like it, but the major problem I had with that story was that I didn't like any of the characters except the two they decided to kill off. It is funny how Lightning is void of any emotion for 2/3s of the game, yet she is chosen to be the face of that series. It was like they were trying to make a bad ass video game character and they failed.
