And why is that? MTV never really showed sympathy towards Britney, to the contrary, they didn't even hesitate to jump on the bandwagon after Britney disastrous performance at the award ceremony last year.
If Britney wins an award this year, it's because she so badly deserves to win one, period.
You know.. since MTV specialize in giving the awards, usually, to those who don't deserve to get them, maybe this time, when Britney doesn't have the best video, she'll finally win.

This category is maybe the only category at the award ceremony that have nothing to do with quality, as for it, although Gimme More failed at being good, it indeed succeeded in making a lot of noise, and as for it deserves to have this title.

I am sick of the 'given out based on sympathy' It SHOULD be based on the video and not the artist. If it was based on the artist, that defeats the whole purpose of the VMAS!

LMAO, get real! MTV makes its choices based on the artist and sometimes on how much successful their songs were, it's been quite a long time since they last gave an award because of the quality of the video.

1.- Britney lost the first category ( best pop ) and I'm so furious..I can't believe that ****.
