and i'm sorry, i don't agree with you. the Bible is a reflection on history, that's where you need to realize that things discussed that you don't agree with aren't necessarily a reflection of the Christian lifestyle. slaves were also servants (not in the same slavery aspect you're thinking i mean), servants who had masters and Jesus also said to serve them as they would serve God and we are so not slaves.

back then slavery wasn't the same as it grew to be, people chose to be slaves because they needed the money. back then it was simply a term for servants. that's what he meant.

No that's really not what I am making it sound like. you were the one who started talking about flawed men.

The bible is meant to be "the word of god" it's where you guys get all of your beliefs from and it's how many Christians justify the bad things they do to others. If you are saying it isn't the word of god then brilliant but you also have to admit that you have no idea what the word of god is at all because the bible is your only reference.

So you are arguing that slaves were not slaves? Go and read the bible the fact that you are actually telling me that those people were not slaves shows that you have not.

the bible is rather easy to understand and clear cut, why because as God said his laws are already written in mans heart, most wordly religions base their teachings around one subject, LOVE.

No, I don't believe in submissive marriages. Just because it works for some families, doesn't mean it works for all.

My parents make every decision together. They talk it out and decide which one would be the best. They are both equal. He is the "man" of the house and she is the "woman" of the house; neither of them has supreme authority over the other. That's how it goes in my house, and that's how my relationship is.

also keep in mind, some laws were made with the intention to help the human race grow. for example, pork could be infected with diseases so back then it was forbidden. nowadays we can clean our pigs more thoroughly of any bad influences, ergo we don't necessarily have to follow THAT law and it certainly won't send us to hell for not doing it.

and that is one of the most disgusting ideas you guys have tbh. It's certainly not what I would call moral but I am glad that we agree, he didn't come to abolish the old law.

The problem with your pork example is if these things are defined as "gods law" then people will take them as such.

What baffles me most about people who appear so anti-God or religion, is that they base their abhoration for it on the actions of men, rather than God.

Jesus was not judgemental, he wasnt a bigot, he loved ALL he came accross what he preached against was sin, not people. If you take time to delve more into the life of jesus and his teachings, most of you will be pleasantly surprised

I really dislike the word "submissive" because people tend to take it the wrong way. Being submissive to your husband doesn't mean being his slave. If you ask most women, they want a man who is a provider and who leads his family. That doesn't mean the wife doesn't have a say.

And 90% of you don't even care about women anyways. Half of ya'll only support feminism because it's a way to fight back at the same institution of masculinity that you feel oppresses you because of your sexuality.

My thoughts exactly, im not particularly a fan of the word "susmissive" either but thats what its been labeled in our society.
