I'm writing a little academic essay on music.
Does anyone know how you should cite the Billboard Charts?

I have an article that mentions what I need (chart positions) but I want to have a direct source as well
Basically, I want to include this in my list of sources (MLA style): http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100

You cite it just like any other page of a website I believe, so it should be:

Billboard, 'Title of Page', Billboard <url> [date accessed]

do it like any other website

I guess I will use that, it's only for a secondary source anyway

Because I believe that you also need the name of the editor/author (if they are given)

You do, in which case it'd be:

Author, 'Title of Page', Billboard <url> [date accessed]

But there isn't one listed for the charts, so yeah.

So far I've only needed to cite articles with clear information on authors and publishers, so I really wasn't sure what to do.
