They said it'd be better but I think the tupac coachella one was a better hologram technology
anyway watching this made me really miss michael again. It doesnt really hit you how much of a legend we lost until you hear his voice and see him perform (even a hologram)
Do not start with me about Michael Jackson. Of course I did not know him. But for 24 years, and literally all of my childhood, watching all of his music videos, concerts, movies, listening to his albums over and over, idolizing him - there is a certain magic to Michael Jackson. It was gone with this. It looked a Vegas street performed they got 20 mins before. This was nothing but low rent.
But since you know him so well to tell me how his estate is set up the I guess you would know Michael Jackson better than the man himself. Sure the technology was cool, but it was so flawed. The face was off the entire time. Michael Jackson was a perfectionist, to the point where he didn't even like any of his own released material. So going by that notion - no, he would have not approved of this.
The only people that benefit from all these projects are the people behind them. That's it. This was incredible distasteful and the only reason why people are being In favor of this is because of how "cool the technology is". So please do not come for me - I did not send for you.
Its always the stans who think they know more about the celebs than the families, the people who the celebs actually know by a first name basis and the estates they set up to carry on their legacy in the event of their death. You think you know what Michael wanted but Michael put the estate in charge to carry out the rest of his legacy upon his death. You wanna talk about distasteful....how about not following the wishes of the deceased or having the nerve to question the motives of the people who Michael tasked with carrying out his wishes?
I had my doubts about the performance, and they were right, this was absolutely disgusting. Just let MJ RIP and don't use his likeness/artistry for ratings.
It was a disaster. The hologram looked nothing like Michael at all; it was like some digitized MJ impersonator from Vegas. I was expecting something like Celine and Elvis from Idol Gives Back, that would've been amazing. Instead, it was this MESS.
MJ was a better performer than that. Even when he sat in a chair his presence alone was still met. The man is dead and if they were going to o this, they could have done a better job. In this video his feet was injured, but his presence alone was incredible.
Michael sitting a goddamn chair >>>>>>>> still better performer then anyone
you know what, while it did look like dangerous mike (looks wise ) now when I watch it for the second time, that is def an IMPERSONATOR right there. .Michael's foot work and dancing was always INCREDIBLE EVERY damn time, just watch the BET awards (2003 ) or this is it concert videos
Honestly wasn't anywhere near as good as I expected The dancing was mediocre (I'm guessing they just used a body double then edited MJ's face onto it?) and even like the standard of the hologram wasn't very good especially in comparison to the 2pac one for example. Like at the start you could see the sheet moving which totally ruined the illusion.
Wow, that was extremely creepy, but I loved it. I didn't expect it to be so realistic. They did an amazing job! I wasn't expecting him to perform a new song.
Slightly off topic, but it's weird to think that physical, living artists could become useless and irrelevant later on down the road. Why invest your money in a person who is going to age and eventually die when you can create your own artist who always has perfect dance moves and vocals, doesn't age, have fluctuating weight or physical imperfections, or requires any money.
