Actor William H. Macy stopped by "Live With Kelly and Michael" today (Jan. 16) to talk about, among other things, his incredible disdain for One Direction.
"They couldn't put on a good show with a gun to their head."
Apparently, Macy had three major issues with the One Direction performance. First off, they danced as if they were just marching back and forth (as he willingly, and hilariously, demonstrated). Second, Harry Styles ate a sandwich on stage in the middle of the show. And third, the whole band performed in crappy jeans and tees.

I still can't name one song of theirs. I swear, I never heard of them until Tay dated Mophead. Their latest album is doing worst in sales than their previous albums. Three albums, Total sales: 5.1 mil albums in the US. That's Taylor debut Album sales. Granted, they do sell more than Taylor overseas but if you listen to every foreign artist, the big Kahuna is the US market. They think they made it big if they chart big in the U.S.
I believe they will continue their success overseas for awhile. But, I give them one more year in the US. Boybands in the US last 5 years tops. The way they are churning out albums every year, that's not good. If they were really serious about their craft they would wait 2 -3 years and put out a great album.
They have one year per album contract that they just signed last year that lasts for 3 years. Their contracts will expire next year. They are puppets of their company who will keep churning out profit after profit year by year based solely on their looks, charms but with no or little talents. Pretty similar with Kpop groups if you're not familiar with them. The only difference between 1D and those Kpop groups is 1D boys are at least involved in the songwriting process of their songs. I'll give them that much.
The things I would do to hear a acoustic guitar-less version of SBT. Just a ukulele.
I was hoping so hard for this exact thing
I hope she learns another instrument in the future. With the way she tries to make each era sound different from the last, it's not entirely impossible.
