Britain’s Got Talent opens it’s doors to a professional songwriter in the form of 25-year-old Ed Drewett.
The Essex native has co-written All Time Low and Glad You Came for The Wanted as well as One Direction’s 2013 hit Best Song Ever - but can he make it performing his own song?
By the sound of the audience it certainly sounds like he gets off to a good start.
Britain's Got Talent hopeful Ed Drewett already has two number one hits to his name

"I would love to be recognised as a singer in my own right that, means a lot to me. It is honestly an incredible experience to hear something you have written yourself on the radio. As incredible as that is my dream was always to be the singer myself."
Ed is responsible for writing hit songs 'All Time Low ' and 'Glad You Came' for The Wanted, and also penned 'Best Song Ever' for One Direction.
Sadly, though, Simon Cowell was absent from Ed's audition but the signer still managed to impress fellow judge Amanda Holden.
"I am totally gutted that Mr Simon Cowell isn't here because I think he would love you," she told him.
I don't think he's basic... I think he has a great jazzy voice that he maybe doesn't always showcase ideally, but he has a unique, interesting tone and he's gorgeous.
