Beyonce will rebound as soon as she cares enough to do something, like mention her album.

You are the ones who keep comparing the two albums every week the Global Albums chart comes out .

Katy is a suposed "Singles" artist
Beyonce is a supposed "album" artist
Isn't it a bit ironic how the singles artist sells as much albums as the album artist, but the album artist can sell as much singles as the singles artist?
Which one do you think is better? Shifting singles + albums or only shifting albums?

...Did they say BEYONCE and PRISM? No. Pretty sure they said the names of singles and no way in hell did Beyonce sell more singles than Katy

Why do people always bring up Katy's promotion? Her last broadcastd live performance was months ago in the UK (BRIT's) I think.
Either way isn't that what an artist is suppose to do? To promote their music?

Katy has been getting dragged for promoting since 2010. It's not her fault that Capitol chooses to focus their efforts on her.

Frozen is doing the absolute most. We are a month away from summer, we should not be buying a winter-themed album still.

Katy stans as always doing the most, y'all should be happy that after 7 MONTHS, Katy is finally approaching 3m copies sold, after promoting and discounting her album everywhere and dead at all trying with Beyoncé, bitch please her career is 17 YEARS OLD, let's see if in 2025 Katy is selling 3.5m with her album, before that take several seats and don't come for artists that are above you fave.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you understand what it means to be considered an album artist. Katy is still undoubtedly a singles artist. Just think for a moment.
How many singles has Katy sold WW during the Prism era?
Roar: ~10M (includes streams)
Unconditionally: ~1,5M
Dark Horse: +5M
She already sold more than 16,5M singles WW. Yet hasn't sold 3M albums. 1 of each 5,5 people who buy her singles are buying her album. The rest (4,5) ignores she has an album out.
Now let's have a look on Beyoncé era
Drunk In Love: 2,2M
XO: 1,1M
Partition: 600,000
Pretty Hurts: 100,000
She has sold an total of 4M singles sold WW. At the same time, she's at piratically 3M albums (the same number I gave for Katy). Piratically all the people who buy her singles also buy her album.
Now THAT's what it means to be an album seller. It doesn't mean that you move albums like Adele. It means that you get a good ratio of people buying your album in relation to the number of people buying your singles.
Even though Katy's number worldwide are good, they're nothing to brag about, and they definitely don't make Katy an album seller. I know there's not a lot of people selling 3M WW at the moment, but out of those who are doing it (Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Beyoncé), Katy is undoubtedly the one with the worst singles sales / album sales ratio.
TL;DR: Considering the success Katy's been achieving with her singles, she should be selling way more albums. If Beyoncé had two hits as huge as Roar and Dark Horse, she would be definitely be crossing 6M.

I never said Katy is an album seller. I'm just saying they're both big stars right now and singles sales no longer equate to album sales and that's a known fact. I can go out and ask many people to know some Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, songs etc. and they will easily be able to. Go out and ask people to name some albums and that's a completely different story. Albums are not as popular as they used to be.
Beyonce selling as much as Katy me wonder the importance of being a "singles" or "album" artist.
