Sia is one of the biggest hit or miss lyricists; she either comes up with something brilliant or, the more usual occurrence, something really corny, like a faux hipster. A lot of Sia's songs need to be delivered in a certain way for it to go over- and Rihanna
can achieve the amount of emotion and power needed, but is it really what we want or what she needs at this point? Not really. Sia has created some real crap lately and she's praised all of them as if they were the holy grail of music, so her saying this new Rih song was something special that she wanted doesn't mean all that much.
DJ Mustard is alright. He doesn't always produce the best, most original tracks but he's done a lot of hot stuff and he's obviously going to do work for Rih. He won't give her just any quick production. (ie. Girls)
