My sister was at the doctors office today, and she saw a bunch of immigrants (Asian with thick accents) come in at once. A lady and her son were the only white people in the waiting room at this point and gave each other looks and got into a snickering fit and not even trying to hide the fact that they were making fun of these people. She was visibly upset and told me that that had been the first time that she saw racism up close! I was so surprised. Anyways I know that's kind of tame but share your experiences Im interested

I think there was a thread on this a little while back

but I can't find it anymore.

Other than this one crazy homophobic christian psycho I once had to share a room with on a school trip I haven't really noticed anything towards me in real life.

Now as for other people, there's a lot of racist humor in my country and people tend to talk **** about muslims and immigrants and we have the infamous black pete in all its blackface-y glory so there's that

And there have of course been countless sexist remarks towards the women in my life but then again, I'm male so those were not directed at me

We were in the elevator at the mall today and my husband was being really nice and courteous to this older white couple (like in their 80s old) and asking them what floor and they weren't quite thankful at all not that he did it for that, I was just there like

I was born in South Africa as my dad traveled a lot whilst my mum was pregnant.
Anyway, I moved schools in year 11 because yet again, my dad had to move for his job, so obviously making friends was like really hard cus you know year 11 everyone's got their clique they don't give a **** about some new kid. So I was sat at a lunch table with some new people and of course everyone was asking me questions and I said where I was born..
One of them looks at me and says "If you're from Africa, why are you white?"

there was a hispanic kid i went to school with who hated me for some weird reason and would always call me 'whitey' and say i was so pale etc.

im a light brown hispanic dude. When i worked at a supermarket when i was younger i used to get customer's asking me what part of the middle east i was from... Just making assumptions. I used to get pissed off and asked them if it somehow mattered to them? ****ing hated doing cashier jobs. We also had racist customers that wouldn't let you touch the items and call you a ******.
