This is something I've been wondering for a while because I've experienced it before. I was in a relationship with someone I met online a while ago and we bonded immediately. We never planned on dating but we were obviously falling for each other. One day it just happened and it was amazing. We skyped every week and texted all the time (20 thousand times in the first month). It felt perfectly normal for me but I knew the average person wouldn't think so. So what do you think? Can you love someone without ever actually meeting them or is physical touch required?
OT: Well in your situation I think you genuinely have fallen for him. But unless you meet a person in real life you'll never know a lot of there bad sides, some of there flaws. although I'm not saying he has those its just better to get a personal encounter with him. That's just my opinion.
Yes, I think so. I've been in a similar situation to yours, and, well, it changed me fundamentally. As cliché as it sounds, I truly do think anything is possible with love.
It is possible, I suppose. It's a bit idealized, but as long as you've had some voice/video conversations then you should be OK (you don't want to expose your feelings to some Catfish type of mess). Hopefully when you do meet in person the reality will match the expectations
Sometimes you have chemistry with a person online but when you meet up IRL there's absolutely nothing there and it's almost like a whole other person then the one you were talking to. Online bonding doesn't always translate to real life.
You can, but you can't know a person fully without the real deal. I know (and this is a real story!) a couple that fell in love online via the MMORPG game Flyff, she was in Australia and he was in America a few years ago and they eventually met each other on a planned trip and fell in love and after a year of visits the guy decided to move to Australia and they now have two young kids. I think they're trying to move to USA now but she's having trouble with her and her kid's Visas for whatever reason.
