Ok, it was only for a little while today. I was bored, but I usually drive with my hands on 5 and 7.
I drive manual. Right hand on stick, left holding the bottom of the steering wheel in my palm if I'm going straight. I'll move them to 8/4 if I'm around a lot of traffic because people are crazy. 10/2 for lane changes...
For left/right turns, I'll have my right on the stick and left on the very top of the steering wheel. WHICH IS THE ONLY TIME IT'S APPROPRIATE wannabe gangsters... so you can take sharp turns while the shifting gears. I hate people who keep the one hand on the top of the steering wheel while doing nothing - it's uncomfortable and impractical, you're just trying to show off how much you don't know how to drive.
