‘Nabuma Rubberband’ is a consummate masterpiece: dramatic, relentlessly innovative, brilliantly understated, impeccably produced and often head-spinningly sexy.
A little underwhelmed on first listen as most of the songs have a similar sound. As of now the singles are my favourites but it's Little Dragon so I know the album will grow on me a lot. Hopefully after several more listens I'll have come to a conclusion.
I'm surprised at the disappointment. I'm not a little dragon fan, but I absolutely love this album. Cat rider is amazing.. Who produced that? I think this is my AOTY so far
I started listening to the album today and it was love at the first listening. I still have half of the album to go, but it's a huge contender for album of the year already.
Really like Pretty Girls, Cat Rider, Underbart, Nabuma Rubberband, Only One, Killing Me and Paris.
Any information about which producers were involved and who produced which song?
Yes. From the CD liner notes:
Quote:
All songs written, produced and performed by Little Dragon (Yukimi Nagano, Erik Bodin, Hakan Wirenstrand, Fredrik Wallan) except Mirror and Killing Me co-written by D. Jolicouer. Killing Me and Let Go produced by Little Dragon and Robin Hannibal.
Definitely the most cohesive album I've heard this year. I'm loving every single track. I played in the random mode today and everything clicked for me. Now it's time to get into their whole discography.
