Ive followed this case since it broke out, and im currently watching michelle knight's interview with dr phil from earlier this week. I saw michelle on the front cover of PEOPLE magazine at the store today so thats how i got reminded again. she has a new book out and tells her story in depth.
Ariel Castro is a bitch for killing himself. Offing himself to avoid the torture he was receiving as well as avoiding living his life in captivity - as he was doing to those ladies - was a bitch move, and I hope he is burning in Hell.
I live fairly close to Cleveland. I remember the news stories when two of them went missing. It's odd they were found alive. I guess they were blessed by an angel because as bad as it was, they're free now and have their whole lives ahead of them. I'm very happy for them
Instead of having remorse and empathy for the things that he (Castro) had done to those young girls, he was crying over HIS life. His final statement was all about him, saying that he wasn't the monster that the women, who were raped, shackled, & tortured by him for years, were portraying him to be. . That all the sex was consensual
The only time he showed emotion was when he was talking about things that he had lost
im honestly so happy for michelle , im not trying to discredit amanda and gina's hardships, but michelle had a horrible life even before her abduction, when she was rescued from the house, she had no loving family and an entire community to go to like amanda and gina did. both girl's families searched endlessly for them over the years, michelle's family did nothing and she wasnt even registered in the missing person's database.
im glad to see that she is building a new life, seems to be happy and evolving, and is comfortable talking about her past. when these girls were rescued, the media seemed to label michelle as severly damaged and hinted that she would never go public.
