They always compare him to Coldplay, One Republic, Dave Mtthews, Bruce Springsteen, Mumford, who else ? i forgot his name but it's a big one
but the reviewers always take it as influences not copycats like the Dave fans claim it to be, so i'm fine with that. He's Phillips and a lot of them (medias) even put his name out there as reference when reviewing 1D song SOML lol
