According to Dateline, Warner Bros. sitcom "Suburgatory" which was cancelled by ABC last week after 3 seasons, is looking for a potential home on TBS. If the comedy inks a deal, it will follow in "Cougar Town"'s footsteps, a former ABC sitcom which received the same fate.
CBS also cancelled freshman comedy "Friends with Better Lives" and production company 20th Century Fox are reportedly shopping that show around too, however no specific networks were mentioned.
Hopefully TBS will pick it up. I rarely watched Suburgatory because I never had time, but I watched a few episodes and loved it. It was really funny. This year was just awful with TV show cancellations. They cancelled Community, one of my favorite shows. I'm very disappointed in the TV networks this year cancelling so many good shows.
I'm also devastated that Trophy Wife got cancelled when it's the best new sitcom out there and every single character is amazing.
Right? It is so rare that a sitcom comes along with such a stellar cast that is as strong at Trophy Wife's was. Literally every character was so funny and likable. It's such ********, yet shows like 2 Broke Girls and The Big Bang Theory live on. :
