I think signing on with Live Nation was more for the branding of her image, so DVD's, CD's, and merchandise and maybe touring too.
But when she signed the Interscope deal sometime in December 2011 that was for the 3 albums, and that's where they confirmed that MDNA would be out in March. So maybe being with Live Nation and Interscope she has to provide different things by the end of it.
