I can tell you that I've lived in Florida for about 11 to 12 years now and have NEVER experienced nor seen some of the insane and crazy things that I've heard about in the news. Don't judge the whole state, just certain areas. Everywhere I've lived so far is pretty chill.
I completely agree with everything that everyone above me has posted. Florida gets a lot of unnecessary hate just because of SOME of the things that have happened here in the past couple of years.
People need to look at all the other states and focus on their problems too. Stop hating on my state ya'll!!

What would y'all do without the amazing beaches, Disney World, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld, etc.? Some of y'all seem to be upset because you live in some states that have little to no impact like Minnesota, Maine or something like that.

I lived in about four different areas of Florida and I never saw anything like the crazy articles that they post here. The craziest thing I ever witnessed was at my dad's office probably. One lady came in and she wanted to get a face lift, she could barely move her face! Maybe i'm exaggerating but my point is, that besides people who have over done plastic surgery and want more I never saw people doing crazy stuff like wanting to marry a computer.
A lot of crazy **** happens in Florida but now it's just a running joke, and people people post the most random local news stories to make Florida look bad

Exactly that's what baffles me. I've lived in Florida since 2000 and I've have yet to see crazy happened with my own eyes. This state has become really misconstrued ever since the Casey Anthony and George Zimmerman cases. Every state has its own bad people. People are really dumb to judge an entire state its people. I see white and black people get along really well from where I live.
A lot of good things happen in Florida, it just does not get reported which is sad.
