If you're asking what I think you're asking, I think we idolise celebrities far too much, and we put them on a godly pedestal. That's why when they're not the perfect angels we want them to be, we start hating them.
Thirty years ago, celebrities were showpeople who were confident and admirable, but they were in no way superior to normal people, they had just chosen that lifestyle. Nowadays, thanks to reality TV and programmes like AI and XF, we consider fame to be the pinnacle of success and happiness and all that is desirable.
