I feel like marriage is so overrated. I don't really believe in true love ( I know sad ) but if I ever did find someone to spend my life with I don't need a piece of paper, an expensive ring, or wedding to prove my love for that person. Also the whole "giving your daughter away" mess is so bizzare. Not to mention 50% of marriages end in a divorce nowadays so I don't want the hassle of divorcing and get remarried etc..

For health insurance benefits, it's worth something. Plus you can claim your spouse as a next of kin in case you end up in the emergency room and what not. Unmarried partners aren't considered.
