Because white people have a long, long history that continues until today of appropriating everything from customs, knowledge and inventions from black people while profiting far more from it than black people normally do and denying them any credit. All I see is a person who cares about 200 Nigerian girls getting kidnapped. I care too. If I hash tagged it, would it be offensive? And why is her attention to it getting less focus than her skin?

Did you miss the part where that woman implied she came up with the hashtag and that she started the movement?
