I'm such a nerd, I did some research on Sia and from what I've gathered she probably will be replacing Linda Perry on the album. Sia has some electronica and acoustic work in her repetoire and has also been compared to Lauryn Hill, Dido, Sarah McLaughlin & Nelly Furtado. We all know how deep Christina tries to be and I remember Linda saying she doesn't make the same records twice.

I kinda don't wanna hear her music because that picture scares me and I can only imagine what her voice sounds like LOL

does anyone know if christina actually recorded any new tracks yet or will she start recording next month. and if so what other producers and writers will she be working with. i heard she was looking into kanye west is that true.

there are several news indicating her album will drop before the end of the year.. (actually almost every news article said so).

timeline of christina's new album:

feb 08- dj premier said christina's starting to record in a month
mar 08- as People have stated and as dj premier has stated as well, it seemed that christina has started recording in her home studio (in an interview, dj premier said they were doing 5 tracks)
apr 08- video of christina going in at linda perry's recording studio
may 08- video of christina going in a recording studio
june 08- another video of christina going in at linda perry's recording studio
july 08- another video of christina at a recording studio, a meeting supposedly occured between christina and justin timberlake (no one knows if its for the new album) but.. within the week, christina was seen at the recording studio where timbaland and justin timberlake works, also news about a possible kanye west collaboration was spilled by one of her team
aug 08- sia stated she's working with christina in spetember (writing music), she's confirmed to perform at Fashion Rocks (no one knows if its for new materials), new article about the fragrance (Inspire- released sept 1,08)said she's releasing the album before the end of the year

so far the producers/collaborators for christina's new album are:

dj premier- 5 tracks (produced Ain't No Other Man) *although since march 2008, no news about their work has been revealed

linda perry- christina was seen at least 3-4 times in her recording studio with lines saying "i can't wait to start the next chapter"

sia- confirmed she'll be writing with christina on september 2008

possible:

kanye west- christina took her creative team to one of his concerts and one of her team spilled that indeed there's a possibility of a christina-kanye collaboration

justin timberlake & timbaland- very slim chances but JT was seen w/ christina on a meeting and christina was seen in the recording studio where timbaland and Jt supposedly works (no confirmation at all)

dj premier- the aretha franklin duet which dj premier said in jan 2008 as a song that failed to meet the deadline of aretha's album so christina decided to keep it and save it for her next album (no further confirmation)

the pussycat dolls collaboration- news spread about this possibly for PCD's new album (no confirmation)
