Five-year-old Romeo Clarke has been banned from a church-run after school club - because he insists on wearing princess dresses.
The youngster has a collection of 100 dresses and eight pairs of girls' high heels which he likes to wear every day.
But he was booted out of an after school club at his local church after organisers accused him of 'confusing' the other children with his choice of clothes.
'Wearing the dress is his choice and if it makes him happy, it's fine with me.

She said: 'I was shocked and surprised. The leader, Bex Venables, who is a really lovely lady, said she didn't think it was appropriate that he wore the dress.
'She said it was upsetting and confusing the other children.

Mrs Venables, the Minister in Training at the Rugby Christian Fellowship, defended the controversial decision.
She said: 'Georgina's son is still allowed to attend Buzz Children's Club but has been asked to wear clothing of the gender stated on his registration form, which states male.
Churches and church schools tend to have dress codes and way they expect members to conduct themselves. Because of separation of church and state, they are legally allowed to deny him to be in the afterschool program if his parents refuse to comply with their rules.

Church should be about serving God not looking at certain way . At my mom' church all they do is sit around and gossip about how people look. They be on the phone talking girl did you see sista Sheryl in that jacked up dress and them fake shoes chile she looked a mess with her ol big behind behind. That's why I left.
The kid is adorable. As long as he wants to wear them himself then there should be no problem, but churches aren't exactly known for being open-minded..

It isn't about looking a certain way, but like everything else in life, there's standards.
And that's just women. Women always gossip about the way other women dress.

Shouldn't church be a safe haven from judgement? Why can't he dress the way he wants? Confusing other kids? Why not educate the other kids?
And as for separation of church and state...yeah right. Look at the state of marriage, and how deep religion (mainly Christianity) is imbedded into the American culture. Having to swear on a bible in court? The separation is apparent, haha.
Is messed up but I do see their point on confusing the other kids.
Don't you think the children being told there is a God that controls all life and knows your thoughts, and that he had a son that he impregnated into a woman (without her consent) who was then brutally tortured and crucified would confuse them a little more?

!!!!!!!
Like what is there to explain "Some boys like to wear boy clothes and some boys like to wear girl clothes". Wow that's so hard.
And these children won't have a problem with it until their parents breed hatred into their minds. Kids are known to be open minded. But tbh I bet everything that they're wouldn't be a problem if a girl was dressing in "boy" clothes.
