Social class discrimination or class discrimination, why is it so rampant and not spoken against here much?
When someone posts something that is homophobic or racist, I see people comment against it, not that speaking against these discriminations is wrong, but why don't people give class discrimination as much weight?
Since I joined, even when I was still lurking, I'd see posts like "eww ghetto trash" or when I visited a thread with a video of two girls fighting I saw a post like "oh I see the hood is moving into the suburbs". And no one addressed these comments.

Are posts like those made and viewed just as jokes? Because numerous individuals have been able to work hard and leave the ghetto, even some of the artists you stan for. What's more there are many people who live in the hood but have better values than some rich folks, just because you've seen or heard of ratchet mess done by some people who have come from the hood doesn't mean everyone from there is like that.

Probably because social class warfare is so embedded in society that we don't notice it.

The **** on here are broke college students or living off their parents, they are in no position to discriminate.

I think this too but whereas outside atrl, it's normally subtle and people don't outright discriminate,on here people just do it without blinking or reasoning that they just discriminated against someone. Like it's normal.

That doesn't stop them though.
It seems they come from very affluent families even if they are living off them.

Lmao this is ATRL don't pay attention to stuff like that. 95% of the people on here act completely opposite offline. This is the internet they just use this as an escape to say things they know better to real life.

So maybe I'm the one taking it too seriously? And it's not to be discriminatory but normally just a joke?
The point I'm trying to relay is that if someone makes a racist/homophobic joke/post, a lot of people seem offended and speak against it, why isn't the case similar when it comes to class discrimination?

I think it's more subtle and accepted in society...I've realized I can be very classist myself and it's something I try to work against but it's just how I was raised.
