But that's only cause taylor has insane selling power, like katy released TD in october and despite selling almost 3m because it's sales were so evenly spread it didn't actually earn that much, so it's not really unfair tbh.

Hm yeah some valid points about the methodology. Using the top 20 is a bit too harsh of a cut off, and the inverse point system (A #1 best selling album of the year will earn the artist 20 points, a #2 best selling album of the year will earn 19 points,.., a #19 earns 2 points, a #20 earns 1 point) isn't that great for this kind of countdown. Because a #20 album sells way more than 1/20th of the #1 album, and two #20 albums should be way more points than a #19 album. I didn't think about it at the time

I did redo this countdown with a much more accurate point system, and using the top 100 of each year instead of the top 20, and it changes the ranking quite a bit. But to post the exact same countdown so soon again would be too much Maybe a 'biggest female albums of the past 30 years' or a singles or a combined albums and singles countdown if there's interest, or just wait till the 2014 YEC comes out

You can do "The biggest female Album Acts of the past 10 years" by using top 50 or even top 100.
It will be amazing.
