After reports of Nintendo losing almost half a BILLION in one year, they're apparently still being able to spend this huge amount of money on developing new technology.
When will your fave company Apple and LG or whoever is in charge of those new fancy boxy room decorations.

Senior Research Analyst David Gibson has revealed on Twitter that Nintendo has apparently spent over $100 million on a mystery tech acquisition. Gibson says there’s no word as to what the acquisition was for, but it could be related to the forthcoming Quality of Life product which Nintendo has confirmed they’re developing.
when will they understand that they're not doing well because family friendly games just aren't doing as well anymore. It's not their setback on technology

Now Sorbet sis, we just starting talking and I love you already, but Nintendo could spend billions and they'd still be fine. The company has ridiculous amounts of money to the point where losing $450m is comparable to a train hitting a deer. They aren't even damaged, just temporarily phased.

nn I was being sarcastic, but thanks for clearing it up for those who didn't catch my sarcasm
Are they really pulling a sega and releasing peripherals .. that was the demise of Sega..(sega cd/32x) : it better just be a new console. not add-on gimmicks.
I assume this 100 million investment is part of their 400-something million loss of last year. It's still a huge loss, but at least they're losing it to potentially gain it again in a few years.
