Is green tea good for Weight loss/Good skin?
So i'm trying to lose around 5-6 pounds and get better skin and was told to drink green tea, does it actually help? How much would one have to drink for it to work? Also what could you add to it to make it work better? I was told squeezing some lemon into it will make it more useful. Do you guys have any tips?

Yeah it's definitely good for both. It definitely has helped me lose weight, and it's helped my skin but not like drastically, but I think that's because I don't drink a ton of it. Idk what the ingredient/chemical is in it but it has something that boosts metabolism, buT it depends on the brand or whatever because different brands have different amounts. Google it to make sure I'm not just making spewing a bunch of crap out
Just drink a ton and see what happens

try organic argan oil directly on the skin. It's worked wonders for me, and my skin is basically blemish free now after just two weeks. I just put it on once, before bed, every night and the next morning, my skin is smoother than the day before and so on.
for weight loss, green tea is great, but oolong is even better. It literally makes me poop grease.

yep
it's even been studied and verified by scientists
Quote:
Few controlled studies, however, have been conducted to measure the impact of tea on energy expenditure (EE) of humans. A randomized cross-over design was used to compare 24-h EE of 12 men consuming each of four treatments: 1) water, 2) full-strength tea (daily allotment brewed from 15 g of tea), 3) half-strength tea (brewed from 7.5 g tea) and 4) water containing 270 mg caffeine, equivalent to the concentration in the full-strength tea treatment. Subjects refrained from consuming caffeine or flavonoids for 4 d prior to the study. Tea was brewed each morning; beverages were consumed at room temperature as five 300 mL servings. Subjects received each treatment for 3 d; on the third day, EE was measured by indirect calorimetry in a room calorimeter. For the 3 d, subjects consumed a typical American diet. Energy content of the diet was tailored to each subject's needs as determined from a preliminary measure of 24-h EE by calorimetry. Relative to the water treatment, EE was significantly increased 2.9 and 3.4% for the full-strength tea and caffeinated water treatments, respectively. This increase over water alone represented an additional expenditure of 281 and 331 kJ/d for subjects treated with full-strength tea and caffeinated water, respectively. In addition, fat oxidation was significantly higher (12%) when subjects consumed the full-strength tea rather than water.

This was just comparing 24 hours though. Over longer stretches, and with higher doses, I'm sure it does more. Chinese people drink a lot of it and they stay skinny, so

YAS absolutely.
Hot tea is great for weight loss in general, but Green tea has good antioxidants
and has caffeine.
It was crucial to me last winter when I dropped lbs.

I just drink A LOT of water to help my skin glow. I also make sure to wash my face morning AND night because I have really oily skin, and if I sleep at night with oily skin, I'll wake up with Acne or if I eat hella oily greasy fast food.
OFF TOPIC: How do you get rid of Acne scars? I don't have acne on my face, just small scars, ughhhhh!!!

If you want it quick, get mederma. It can dry out the skin though...
For a natural solution, avoid coffee/soy sauce/fried-stuff/oil stuff, and apply argan oil

Only if you want kidney stones.
It is full of anti-oxidants, but don't overdo it. Replacing soda and other sugary drinks with tea and plain water will obviously help weight loss.

Yes, but matcha green tea has like 10x the Antioxidant Power so I would recommend that one for overall health.

I don't know if this will work for everyone but i used to have red marks on my face and i starting using Kojie San soap, a philippino friend of mine recommended. It worked great for me, cleared out my skin and made it radiant after like 2 weeks of daily use, it does burn though so i only use it for a minute or so

They sell americanized varieties on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Davidsons-Tea-...long+tea+loose
but I travel to Hong Kong/China with my dad every so often, and we load up on the Iron Goddess variety of Oolong
It's a lot smoother than the types I've had in America, and it has a flowery aftertaste, which makes me want to drink like 3-5 big cups a day.
and it doesn't hurt just...a lot more efficient...and at first: frequent
