As much as Streaming does suck, it is the savior.
Digital downloads were destined to decline anyways, since piracy is to eventually grow big.
But Streaming stops piracy in a way. Why feel the need to go through risking viruses and stealing discographies, when you can listen for free unlimited without downloading?
I don't think labels would let sales die completely, though. I smell Theater/DVD-esque releases coming. Singles/albums being up for sale, but not available on Streaming platforms until after a few weeks / months.
