This **** is unfair.

I can understand the problems with breasts being sexualized, because those have been sexualized from their natural purpose.

However the argument that our genitals should be embraced and represented is so stupid. Those parts are meant for sexual purposes (for the most part), and plastering them all over won't have some sort of positive desexualizing effect.

I don't like things being oversexualized in the media because that I believe sex should be a cherished thing kept for special people in your life you've developed trust with. I want sex to be something I don't have to see through the media every day because I feel like that ruins the privacy of the whole concept even into my personal life.

I also think loosening up to sexuality in the media gives people like Terry Richardson room to justify their actions.

EDIT: The naked body can be used in a non-sexual manner, which is ok to me, what I'm regarding is when it's used with intended sexual connotation.

Uh genitals are not oversexualised. I think you're confusing the sexualization of breasts for the sexualization of the vagina.

Men's penises are sexualized as well, and we're also told to cover them up. In that sense, the field is somewhat equal

I think women more-so because a vagina has more jobs! I think vagina is oversexualised in our society because we have a stronger link between vaginas and sex than we do vagina and childbirth

vaginas are not just sexual things, child birth is amazing, people shouldn't be ashamed of the thing thats gives birth to EVERYONE
