Let's be real The Netherlands has absolutely no chance in winning this year. In the end they will end up 6-7 place or out of top 10. They have a decent song.

Don'tbe so sure of that. They usually give high to Ireland and The Netherlands are currently in their top 100 on Itunes. And we're the only ones besides their own entry

First half means they can get 12 or 13 number order, which is a winning number. No matter what number they get they are most likely to win this year.

12 and 13 aren't winning numbers statistically. And then we have Netherlands, Hungary and UK who all stand a chance of getting a draw between 17-21 which are indeed winning numbers.

I think everyone keeps forgetting about Denmark and the fact that the hosts will get to pick what goes before it at 23. If something wonky makes it through semi 2 it'll go there and push up it's chances for a double, even if it's a pisspoor knockoff of Bruno Mars. I could also see Spain slotted in front which could kill them off if normal fans don't care for THE RAIN being screamed at them.

I could see the UK closing the show, which is not a good spot.

Armenia and Sweden will have space between them but I figure Armenia could end (or Montenegro) up opening the show again while Sweden will be closer to 13.

Absolutely, I think Denmark is a strong contender, but I'll need to see what happens after semi 2 and with the draw before I can feel confident that they can pull it off.

I guess it all depends on how EBU wants to play things. Let's assume that no other country creates a hype after semi 2 the way NL did now.

Did NL win the semi? Will NL's hype last until tomorrow? Does EBU prefer UK, NL or Hungary as the potiential winner (since they can't put them back to back, they'll have to favor one of them with the draw, the question is who it'll be)?

If NL won the semi, if NL's hype will continue, if the EBU feels like NL is a good winner, then I can easily see UK getting either #25 or #26. To your average viewer that seems like a great draw, but statistically we know it's not. Meanwhile NL gets a pimp spot. I can totally see that happening.

I'm a conspiracy theorist () and I believe that the EBU has some countries that they want to host, and some countries they do not want to host. NL and UK are both countries they want to host. If NL didn't win the semi/hype doesn't continue, they'll favor UK. If NL won the semi/hype continues, they'll favor NL.

Not sure if Hungary is a country they want to win, but I guess they can be thrown into the mix too.

I mean, I would be really happy with UK winning (or Hungary, or NL, or Armenia, or any other favorite that isn't Sweden) but NL winning would be magical for me because we'd be back to having a winner that wasn't hyped for months leading up to the event. It'd be an element of surprise that the contest has lacked for years now.

same, i live for unexpected winners. and the nl song would have impact on the future contests that quality wins over a big show. + we all know how uk as a host would be, they would talk about britain all the time and show too many of these postcards with uk imagery. cant stand when the uk hosts international events. they shove their **** down peoples throats way too much

The winner will depend on the east. If they give CATS enough points I think they have it in the bag. If they do a Birds on it though they have no chance, even if they get a lot of 12's from the Nordics/west.

I'd be so happy with NL winning though, they'd make great hosts I just hope we wouldn't end up with a bunch of ripoffs in 2015.
