Discussion: So The Boondocks has been pretty disappointing so far...

Aaron McGruder is no longer writing the episodes and it shows. It's been quite a let down.

Season 3 was so on point to me. I was expecting a lot out of season 4.

The first episode which parodied Chris Brown could have been so much funnier.

The second episode about Grandad losing all of his money felt half-baked and undercooked.

The third episode about Huey creating an explosive hair relaxer... ...was actually a significant improvement from the first two episodes. I found it very funny. "It's like White bitch hair... *sniffs* ...almost refugee Cambodian bitch quality!" "This is plutonium. This is acid...just acid. Bitches will put napalm in their hair if it'll make it straight."

This next episode is about Grandad becoming a prostitute. I don't know what to expect.

Will we ever see "The Color Ruckus" level funny again *tongue click* or nawh?

The first episode was dreadful, but all the episodes after have been okay. You can tell the quality in terms of story line has drop. It is really noticeable, but they have 17 or so episodes left to get it together.

I've been slowly visiting each episode over again from the beginning (I'm in late season 2, I think) and the episodes have always been either hits or just meh to me. Like, even though I might consider quite a few episodes to be meh, there are a lot of great moments throughout the show and wouldn't say I've seen a terrible episode so far.

All the mixed reviews I am seeing for this season hasn't made me want to speed up my watching at all.

The sharp, satirical translations of current events has been missing so far, but it's just the beginning of the
season, so I'm giving "The Boondocks" the benefit of the doubt, right now. Quality better pick up, though.

So far the season really lacked humor, i agree that the third episode was more funnier than the first two. Idk i'll see what episode four has in store.

2nd episode - alright
3rd episode - we're headed in the right direction.

The 4th should be the determining factor for me. Regardless the outcome, I'm still going to watch.

I expected the season to start off a little shaky since Aaron McGruder was no longer involved the mastermind of the show's creative arm.

The first episode was decent, then things went to utter **** the second episode only to pick back up in the recent episode. I haven't seen the preview for the fourth episode, but here's to hoping that it'll be good.

Yeaaa I was 6 minutes into watching episode 2 and deleted it from my DVR, I have no motivation to watch episode 3.
