Wow, that operator was so ****ing out of line and deserves to be terminated. I'm a dispatcher for an alarm monitoring company (we basically do the exact same thing as 911 operators, but with less recognition and pay), and I could never DREAM of treating somebody like that. And to hang up on somebody who is requesting an ambulance? Multiple times? Are you ****ing serious?! What if she didn't have the ability to call back and died? And then to arrest her when she shows up? Of course she's going to be angry!
Also, 99% of 911 operators are ****ing scum. SCUM, I tell you. I dread calling them to report an alarm because they always have attitude and are in a rush to get the person off of the phone in the event of a real emergency (yes, I've witnessed 911 operators even telling people to "shut up" and "stop overreacting" when there's a burglary in progress).
They're TRAINED to be calm and deal with this **** no matter what. You're a ****ing 911 operator NO **** PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE FRANTIC. Cursing is not illegal, and you can not arrest someone for that. And you HANG UP on her?? WHILE SOME COULD BE DYING. "I wasn't able to transfer her over to you" NO ****ING WAY. YOU HANG UP. ****ing PIGS
