would somebody who has autism or knows what its like explain to me because i know very little about autism and I've always been curious to what it is. saying that my friends brother has it but we never talk about it.
like mostly having the desire to want to learn things but there being this thing in your mind that goes "no" every time you try and you have to constantly push that wall back because you just want to function decently in society and you genuinely want to excel in life.

If you were to compare someone with Autism / Asperger's (mild Autism) to someone who doesn't have it, but is really smart, the Aspie (the nickname) is normally smarter.
TL;DR - Autistics or Aspie's are normally smarter than a non-Autistic.
