I had to tongue bath a bit! Superiore called it "a cool comeback single with a nice beat," but felt it relied on past glories a bit too much. You "love the No Doubt vibes you get from this. They should have let Nicole sing more." I actually agree!

Rock Steady is the worst song on Studio 1, but still a 7.
Overload is amazing tho, it might just be my favorite Sugababes song. Either that or something else from that album.

My least favourite AS song and favourite SB song tied.
Genuinely wanted to see Overload a little higher than this.
Thank God Nana's is finally out.

I'm going to be so pleased at a Top 10 I won't ask for more.
I know it doesn't have the power to topple the iconic Wannabe or Biology

10 - supaspaz, Superiore, Doogle, Subomie, adrianbeane, Dream, sumthintoxic82, Maneater
0 - posh
Their first mature track to really catch on with the British public, Call The Shots was extremely successful irl: it was their first single to go number one on UK radio, it went top three, and was nominated for Best Single at the Brits. Unfortunately, it comes in fourteenth place in this rate. BlueTimberwolf loved the added element of harmony the Girls bring to their live performances, while Subomie chalked his ten up to nostalgia, but still thought it was a great song. posh didn't. He had "nothing to say about this song, except that it's terrible and I wouldn't add it to my worst enimies Spotify playlist." Burn. I'll let supaspaz have the last word: "If Girls Aloud are going to slow down the tempo and get emotional, I’ll take this sleek aloofness and heavenly synthscape over sincere balladry any day."
Fun Fact: When I started counting votes, this was tied for number one!

10 - Mikal, Superiore, lovesong, Doogle, Subomie, adrianbeane, PeopleLikeUs
2 - posh]
Quite rightly, 2.0 is the last Sugababes lineup to stand - but even heroines must take a fall. A number #98 (in America) SMASH, Hole in the Head is the first 2.0 track to leave us. Apparently some of us (posh) can't respond to what supaspaz calls "a kiss-ass kiss-off anthem." lovesong praised it as "one of their most fun ... and exciting songs," even offering that he would bump to it today. I am not mad at that. Superiore said that the "slight reggae influences" made the song even better. Really? I always thought it sounded like a New Orleans funeral.

I should've given HITH a 10 but I'm sure it got an 8 or 9 nothing less because it's a bop of mine from SB.
YES @ Call the Shots getting SNATCHED out of the Top 10
Rise up AleshaSabrinaSuElise rise.. this is the beginning.

Knock knock KNOCK. Girls Aloud and Xenomania were always on point.
"Love Machine" should have been their first elimination, though.

Another 10 out that is not denied as being an iconic bop but denied Top 20 and worse than Love Machine??
Is someone trying me tonight or...

I don't either.

10 - Penk, Subomie, Mikal, Regina George
3 - Right Direction
As I said RD, you were the ONLY person who gave this song less than a seven.
Now they're done to two, as Love Machine makes its sexit. (Let's make that happen!) Eternally cool - and, contrary to most fans beliefs - the lyrics make SUCH internal sense. I don't think too many songs this century have been so spot on in the war of the sexes. "The production is very reminiscent of an early 80s upbeat song," posh estimates. It is very Bow Wow Wow meets Adam Ant! "It's such a guilty pleasure." Nothing guilty about.

Out before the Top 10 I'm pleased. Girls Aloud may have dodged elimination until 21-22 area but got slain a bit heading into the Top 10.

Neighbours era Girls are my life.
Anyway, I don't need to tell y'all how much of an iconic classic this one is.

I don't think anyone is expecting this.
Except posh. Ooooh boy, the PMs you'll get tomorrow. Giving you REAL Summertime Love/lancelovesgaga teas.

10 - Ace Reject, TheOnlyOne, adrianbeane, Subomie, RightDirection, Doogle, Mikal, Klatz, V3$$3L, supaspaz
0.5 - posh
Snatching the 'most tens' title from The Promise, Freak Like Me gets chopped right before the winners circle. Let's see what the saboteur had to say: "Ruined an amazing classic with some trashy electronic-rock mess." lmao WRONG. The only true mashup to achieve success, Freak Like Me takes a 90s skank anthem and an 80s new wave classic and BETTERS BOTH. supaspaz says "If young female pop stars asserting their sexual independence sans exploitation is something of a myth, then this is the Holy Grail." I'd go further, as it's not just about sexual independence, but personal pride - embracing your ugly, your dark, your bitter and dirty and grimy sides. It's the best, most perverted, most electrifying It Gets Better record ever. All in the hands of the Babes, that is.

So the only Babes representation in the top 10 is the stillborn Push The Button?
How did we gather so many fantastic songs and end up with this top 10?

I'm so happy none of these songs made it into the top 10!
My prediction has been practically spot on, I love it.
