I remember years ago a grupo of guys in the park started throwing stones at me because ''I was a ******'', and yeah I remember a lot of people used to scream at me ***, I was pretty hurt by it.
Now it doesn't happen and I'm happy so I really don't care, but I remember being so frustrated by the fact I was too afraid to stand up and defend myself.
Some guys made a fake profile of me on a gay website because I was feminine. My brother saw that profile and thought I made it do date around (keep in mind, I'm not out and we're very religious) and threatened to beat me up and then he deleted me off of Facebook. My mom shouted at me for being gay until I proved that I didn't make the profile. Also, my family ones had a discussion about homosexuality and they all hate gay people and think they're disgusting and deserve to burn in hell. They're really great people but their ignorance towards homosexuality is unlike anything, and they're noticing that I'm different. It's depressing but I'll make it through.
My cousin hasn't come around in years since unofficially "coming out" - he never said the words but he's had a boyfriend for years now, so yeah lol. My family calls his boyfriend his "roommate" and they make him out to be more feminine than he actually is; when portraying him, my older cousin would snap his fingers and **** even though he's a complete 180 of that. I feel bad for the guy as my sister, brother, and I don't care but the majority of my family do.

My pastor told me I was unnatural and disgusting. He glared at me when his straight son gave me a hug. Then he told me I needed to go the therapy if I wanted to live a good life. Then he convinced the whole youth group that I was basically mentally ill for not seeking treatment for my gayness. I quickly left that church and haven't stepped foot in a church since then. It was especially tough because he was the very first person I told that I was gay because I TRUSTED him and thought he would give me a loving and godly response, not a hateful one.

"Man up" and trying to say a man can only do certain things truly boxes an individual in. In other words they are pretty much just going along with what society's standards tells us what we should be. So sorry for you and I hope things can be resolved nicely for you!
