Drunk In Love: WTH was Jay Z talking about? Is he done??
hi guys!!! This is something I've been wondering for months now. I was a naughty boy and got banned so I haven't gotten the chance to post and ask about this in like 4 months. But anyway, doe I remember back a week or 2 before Valentine's Days I was topless cruising in my Chevy Camaro (pic available upon request) with da 9mm on my lap bumping Beyonce's album. No lie, Beyonce slaughtered Drunk In Love - she had me picturing myself riding on a surfboard and everything. But as soon as Jay-Z's part comes on he messed up the entire chemistry talking about Tyson and 1997 and flashing lights. Did he forgot he said all this same **** on Holy Grail? And we didn't understand it back then either? Does anyone else think it is time for him to throw in the towel?
He ruins the song the same way he ruins every song he's on. His last good rhymes and flows were a decade ago, so I'm not surprised.
That's what I'm saying. I wouldn't say every single song he's wack on but that entire verse is out of place and ruins the song. He stops all the dancing in the club and all the bitches be sobering up hearing his verse.
OMgomgomgomg that reminds me of another story I have related to his mop water verse. He ruined my chances of having sex one night. I can tell you if you wanna hear. Probably make a blog post about it or something.
