inb4 this thread gets messy because all arabs are messy as ****
I'm Arab, but Arabic is like a second language to me
My sisters used to make fun of my Arabic as a kid, so I stopped talking in Arabic for a long time
I can't stand Arabic music
This bitch blocked me on Twitter, along with Haifa Wehbe
You're right! but we can be so rough at it without accent training
Ya, but I've been speaking Arabic since I was a kid so I know it very well, except for now, ive been in Europe for 2 years my Arabic is turning into a nightmare cuz im rarely using it!!
Like Goosey said, the best way is to learn the language while you travel. Since textbook arabic is very different from the spoken dialects. My old roommate (an english speaker) learnt Fousha (formal arabic) for her field research and then once in Morocco she couldn't understand a thing, i was her skype translator for a month.
i'm a chemical engineer in the oil field as well
Moroccan arabic is like... barely arabic tbh, especially the northern dialects.
