"Birthday Cake" was HUGE. Top 20 despite being the damn length of a snippet, had no video, and the official remix not even being available on iTunes.

While the video is a rare tactical misstep by Katy and almost ruins the song, it will still be a hit. Radio will take care of it.
The video was meant to go viral (obviously) since Katy will be on tour and they thought that would take care of the fact she won't be promoting it. They still could have done a way better job, though.
