She is talking about her music as if it was some high art, innovative, avant-garde stuff when its not. Thats not the problem. If she is proud of her work and genuinely feels that pop music should be taken more seriously by accentuating whatever artistic values she believes it has, fine. The problem, however, is that she also acts as if she was superior to other contemporary pop stars while not making better music than them.
Her pretentious, self-victimizing attitude and the childish way she treats critics and fans are off-putting to many.

Someone gets it
No shade just my honest opinion- I just didn't connect with her and her music after The Fame Monster, it was all too much with too little depth. She's trying to make something out of nothing.
It was cute at first (The Fame/Fame Monster) but I just didn't buy it anymore as time went on. She goes around saying it's art, it's all about the music, it's not about the charts but her actions says otherwise. Then she & her stans just became even more pretentious when her whole thing or whatever is actually fading. Her new album isn't even listenable. Just doesn't make sense at all. Is she poisoning y'all or something? There's something that doesn't add up.
