Let's be honest, DIL was never going to be played in most continental Europe. XO was left all alone, there was no push for the song, one Brit performance was not going to change it.

Everyone here should be able to acknowledge that CRTFY underperformed given the hype and the Rihanna feature. Her label was clearly expecting it to be a hit and it struggled to say the least. However, that isn't a fair comparison to Beyonce's "Beautiful Liar", they were both promoting their most successful eras thus far when that collab was released, and so of course it would chart higher compared to current-day Shakira/Beyonce sales.

1. Dark horse was a ww pop single that was sent to pop radios ww. DIL was a us only single that was sent to us urban radios only.

2. when are atrlers going to get it through their heads that no one outside of this forum cares about 99 cent singles or who sings them? if they hear the song and like, they will buy it. Most singles buyers come from pop radio listeners, which dont play bey that much

Beyonce does a really bad job of picking songs with crossover appeal that are ALSO good. With the right song she could easily get a hit because people are clearly here for her. But it remains to be seen if her/her team are capable of that
