She could make such an event out of the follow up if she plays it well. It'd make a killer comeback single.
Picture this:
It's the lead single of AP2. No teasers, no announcements. In August, posters begin popping up featuring the silhouettes of two females and the line 'The Trilogy Ends'. Rumours spread. The VMAs tease a surprise performance. Rumours continue to spread. Cut to the VMAs, and the ***** Wagon pulls up to the red carpet. Gaga and Beyonce exit together and walk in.
The performance begins with Gaga singing Paparazzi as she's escorted through the aisle to jail, swarmed by paps' flashing lights. Behind bars on stage, she moves into Telephone with the inmates. The ***** Wagon crashes through the jail wall, out pops Beyonce doing her verse. They move into the 3rd part.
The single is put on iTunes WW during the show. The video drops the next week.
It'd be cool if the songs hook was 'Don't get mad, get everything' (a First Wives Club quote she posted months ago) and the video took the theme of scorned women seeking revenge against their scummy exes. They're part of a gang and there's a cameo of Madonna as 'The Don'.
