I was there with my copy of 200 KM/H in the Wrong Lane and my rare, imported copies of the ATTSS and NGGU singles. I loved them very much but I don't feel like they've had any lasting affect on the U.S. pop industry. I couldn't speak for any other country. No need to be so rude.

I wouldn't say they made it mainstream, particularly in the U.S. where they fell off pretty quickly. "Not Gonna Get Us" didn't stand a chance. MTV's programming was already pretty LGBT friendly back then, so it was only a matter of time. After all, Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" music video came out later that year which speaks for itself.
There's also a Good Charlotte song that sounds strikingly similar to ATTSS... to your credit. I forget what it's called though.
