She still writes mature songs. The only thing is, she doesn't release them as singles. It's kinda sad how people don't see it that way.
And no. I never lose interest in her, even if she released Rock N' Roll. My only disappointment from her (and Bitchin' Summer).

no. she's a mess now but I like the way it is. of course I want the old Avril of LG/UMS or even TBDT back, but I think she's just going through a phrase that she's losing direction. she will find her way soon hopefully and bring us amazing music again

Nope, her last two albums were great, just because they underperformed doesnt' lower their quality.

Voted yes, bc as an Independent Fan I can't handle the Success she had in the last 4 Years. I wish she would go back to those Days when she was playing Guitar in the Mall, begging for Money. Good old Times!

I stopped having interest in her since 2007. There are some good songs in Goodbye Lullaby but other than that, there's no real evolution (sound, image, etc..), it's the truth.

Absolutely not. I've been a fan since day one, so a couple of bad songs aren't going to change my opinion of her.
My only gripe is that her two most recent albums have lacked consistency. They've been all over the place in terms of genre, sound and themes. I would love her to develop her more adult contemporary/indie sound that she explored with David Hodges and Chad (Give You What You Like, Hello Heartache, How You Remind Me etc). Although I love Avril's upbeat side, I wish she would let go of the Pop/Rock anthems (WTH, RnR etc) - they're great just the way they are, we don't need re-runs of the same song. If she's gonna do up beat, she should do it like 17, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet etc.
For her next album, I hope she picks a style/theme/sound and sticks to it. You can have different sounding songs on one album (like Under My Skin) and it can still be consistent. It all depends on the producers you work with. If pure Pop is the direction she wants to go, she should go with all new producers/co-writers and create something really fresh and new.
I love Avril, but I feel she's hit a plateau in her career. It's obvious she wants to go in one direction, but her labels constantly pressure her to create these up-beat YOLO anthems. I wish she'd sign with Atlantic, so much better than Epic.

I started to lose interst in her with all the GL drama, but i liked the album a lot, things changed during the era, the lack of quality of the performances, the paying dust to the songs she fought for made me angry so much! Then, for this album, i was really looking forward for it, everything she said about it made me curious, butwhen i heard it i was so betrayed and disappointed that i start to really dislike her.
She isn't the Avril Lavigne i knew and i loved, the one who saw music as a therapy, who wrote about HER EXPERIENCES AND HER FEELINGS, the one who used to give concret, honest and real messages. I don't care how bitchin will be the summer, or how she is a bad girl because she wants to have sex everytime, or how she is rock and roll because she puts her middle finger to the sky, or how HK is pretty and silly! I'm 22 and she's 30 and it's embarassing that i'm more into her teenage works than the ''adult'' ones, she didn't grow up with me and that's why i feel so disconneted with her!
She is so boring to follow, she never surprises, she performs the same way, the same songs, she plays the guitar in the same songs, she interacts with the crowd in the same way( i'ts been 7 years that she has been doing that ''game'' before He Wasn't) she does the same things in her videos.. It's not interesting following her, you know what to expect from her and it's not good
Recently i listened to Let Go and its unreleaseds, another level, they are on another level! Just only Get Over It >>>>>>> the new album!

Inevitably so, yes.
Next era she should do like a whole image/sound-overhaul.

No, it's the opposite for me, I kind of started stanning since this era and bought some of her albums for the first time. 'Avril Lavigne' remains a strong album and it was nice seeing her doing a mix of 'back to her roots' with something current.
