better peter sure as hell aren't helping this reboot, the reboot lacks soul, it is just being used by Sony as a platform rather than a making a good stand alone film, they wanted it to launch their cinematic spidy universe. I hope it continue to fail.

don't be silly. everyone has their own opinion and I understand some people like the original franchise more, but to say the acting was better in that one is just plain lying. the actors who played the villains were fine, but Tobey and Dunst are the worst choices they could possibly find for Peter and MJ.

Andrew is just ok. Tobey's Spider Man was much more dramatic and he did a good job.
They should've known better than to put 3 villains in a movie. Even if 1 was there for only a few min. It didn't work for Spider-Man 3, it wasn't going to work for TASM2.
The orginal Spiderman 2 is critically acclaimed. Just because y'all don't like Toby doesn't mean the movie wasn't great. Spiderman 2 is amazing. One of the best superhero movies ever.

Exactly. Of course the gays will side with the new one because "Andrew's hot" it's almost sad that when it comes to males, that's the argument.
As a lifelong Spider-Man stan, I think the new Spider-Man films are FAR more superior than the other ones (which were kinda basic, cheesy, and not as close to the comics as these ones are). But I'm not surprised people aren't really liking this movie, especially since they're used to the version they saw ten years ago.
I appreciate the other films, but I'm glad we have these new ones.

I don't think Andrew did a good job tbh. I didn't like his acting as Peter. Emma did a nice job though. Dane DeHaan did a great job too. I thought the film was pretty decent.
Andrew plays a far better Peter Parker/Spider Man then Tobey ever did. Tobey's Spiderman was written as a tragic hero and such an emotional character with the world on his shoulder, it felt nothing like the comic persona.
Andrew brings a better Spider Man, more authentic and true to the character. His amazing good looks is just a bonus.
