What I'd be fine with is bigger avatars, like to almost fill our info box on the left, but not make that bigger cause then it'd be tacky

I'm also active on forums that use images as signatures and some of them can be visually stunning and display the craft of some of their users. Members generally create matching avatar & signature sets for each other by request or as a gift, similar to the GIF request thread on here.

I don't see how it would work on ATRL though. I've never imagined this forum with images for signatures and I don't think it would look good on the forum layout. Especially since there are already some really ugly signatures on here, I don't even want to see how we would style them if images were allowed.

GIF signatures would also be horrendous.

Not really the best example - that's basically a site filled with graphic designers and people familiar with Photoshop, GIMP etc. Half the people on ATRL can't make their own avatars.

OP, your images are beautifully done. however, i think its best if we keep it simple here on ATRL.
